Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparacion deácido 5-amino-2,4,6-triyodo-1,3-benzendicarboxílico, que comprende las siguientes etapas: a) hidrogenacion catalítica de ácido 5-nitro-1,3-benzendicarboxílio en ambiente neutral o básico, que da una solucion acuosa de sal de sodio deácido 5-amino-1,3-benzendicarboxílico; b) yodacion directa de la solucion de sal de sodio de ácido 5-amino-1,3-benzendicarboxílico derivada de la etapa a), sin mayor purificacion, con una solucion de ICl en HCl, siendo la sal sodica de ácido 5-amino-1,3-benzendicarboxílico previamente agregada con HCl y H2SO4.
