Abstract

Un proceso para la produccion de una mezcla de polietileno in situ que comprende poner en contacto por lo menos un sistema catalizador a base de metaloceno con una o más alfa-olefinas en cada uno de dos o más reactores conectados en serie, en la fase de gas, bajo condiciones de polimerizacion, con las condiciones de que: a) el etileno se introduce en cada reactor; b) opcionalmente, se introducen por lo menos un reactor, una alfa-olefina que tiene por lo menos 3 átomos de carbono o un dieno; c) la mezcla de la matriz del polímero de etileno y el catalizador formado en el primer reactor en la serie, es transferida hacia los reactores subsecuentes en la serie; y d) las condiciones de polimerizacion en cada reactor son tales que se forma un polímero de alto peso molecular en por lo menos un reactor y se forma un polímero de bajo peso molecular por lo menos en otro reactor.
