Abstract
Una capa de óxido pasivo protectora se forma en la superficies interiores de tuberías o tubos térmicos de metal incluyendo sus tapas de extremo, soldaduras y herramental acompañante a través del uso de un método de encapsulación de oxígeno. Después de limpiar el tubo y sus partes acompañantes, el tubo se reensambla y gases existentes dentro del tubo se retiran, creando de esta manera un vacío dentro del tubo. El tubo luego se llena con oxígeno puro y sella. Después de que el oxígeno se sella dentro del tubo, el tubo sellado se calienta formando de esta manera una capa de óxido pasivo, tal como magnetita (Fe3O4) en la superficie interior del tubo.
