Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a leak from the sealed portion by glass brazing an aluminum pipe on the end portion of an exhaust pipe connected to an enclosure and sealing and cutting airtightly by squashing the aluminum pipe after exhaust. CONSTITUTION:The opening end of the enclosure 1 of a bulb, made of glass, ceramics or the like, is sealed with a metal cap 2 in which an exhaust pipe 3 is arranged, and an aluminum pipe 4 is brazed on the end portion of the exhaust pipe 3 with glass. Then, after connecting the aluminum pipe 4 to the manifold of an exhaust bench and exhausting the inside of the enclosure 1, the aluminum pipe 4 is sealed and cut by squashing with an air pincher. Accordingly, as aluminum is soft, easily adapted to surroundings and not liable to form on its surface an oxidized layer easily exfloliating as copper is, a leak from a sealed and cut portion is prevented perfectly without any coating for stopping the leak.
