Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a un método para preparar un material básico de cemento, fraguable hidráulicamente, partiendo de las escorias de acero formadas en un proceso de fabricación del acero, este método comprende la formación, dentro de las escorias de acero en el estado líquido, de un gradiente de ferrita, por la adición un compuesto precipitante de ferrita, la separación, si es requerida, de la fracción formada. alta en ferrita, la separación de cuando menos la fracción formada, baja en ferrita, el enfriamiento y su trituración para obtener un material fraguable hidráulicamente. El compuesto precipitante de ferrita usado tiene preferiblemente componentes ácidos y puede generar oportunamente ácido silícico. Al menos antes de enfriar la fracción, baja en ferrita, el contenido de aluminio del material de escoria líquida se regula por la adición de un material que contiene aluminato, tal como la bauxita. La fracción separada, alta en ferrita, se puede regresar al proceso de fabricación de acero para reducir o eliminar la adición de un fundente en la producción del acero.
