Abstract

Un horno rotatorio tiene un cilindro rotatorio a través del cual pasa un producto a contra corriente hacia una corriente de gas caliente la cual seca al producto. En el extremo de entrada del producto, un anillo de ventilación penetra en el horno por una longitud suficiente para permitir que las partículas arrastradas en el gas de escape para ya sea caer dentro del cilindro rotatorio o pasar a través del anillo a una velocidad suficiente para mantener un arrastre hasta la descarga en un lugar corriente abajo. Utilizando un anillo de ventilación que entra en el horno, se impide que las partículas arrastradas queden sin ser arrastradas en el trasero de alimentación del horno que causa la acumulación que requiere paradas periódicas para limpieza, las cuales son disruptivas de operación continua. Utilizando la presente invención, se incorpora un anillo de ventilación en el horno rotatorio que reduce al mínimo el tiempo de parada e incrementa la eficiencia e utilización del horno rotatorio. Adicionalmente, el anillo de ventilación separado simplifica substancialmente la estructura trasera de alimentación de la construcción que simplifica el horno.
