Abstract
El método según la invención para la calcinación y el enfriamiento de rocas carbonatadas se lleva a cabo en un horno regenerativo de cuba para calcinar de corrientes paralelas con dos cubas que se emplean alternativamente como cuba de calcinación y como cuba regenerativa, a. cargándose la roca carbonatada en una zona superior de cada cuba configurada como zona de precalentamiento y de calcinación, donde se precalienta y se calcina, b. enfriándose la roca carbonatada calcinada en una zona inferior configurada en cada cuba como zona de refrigeración y dotada de un desplazador central, c. descargándose después la roca carbonatada calcinada y enfriada a través de sendos dispositivos de descarga asignados a cada una de las cubas y d. aportando a la zona de refrigeración, para el enfriamiento de la roca carbonatada calcinada, aire de refrigeración que se introduce, en parte, en la zona del dispositivo de descarga y, en parte, a través del desplazador, e. introduciendo la cantidad de aire de refrigeración a aportar a la cuba de calcinación en un 90 a 100% a través del desplazador y en un 10%, como máximo, en la zona del dispositivo de descarga, mientras que la cantidad de aire de refrigeración a aportar a la cuba regenerativa se introduce en un 90 a 100% en la zona del dispositivo de descarga y el 10%, como máximo, a través del desplazador.
