Abstract
Un pigmento de dióxido de titanio comprende una pluralidad de partículas de dióxido de titanio, y un polímero depositado en las partículas de dióxido de titanio para inhibir la aglomeración de las partículas de dióxido de titanio en una formulación de recubrimiento de base acuosa. Las partículas de dióxido de titanio tienen porciones de anclaje asociadas con las mismas para facilitar el anclaje del polímero a las partículas. El polímero es un copolímero que tiene grupos de anclaje para unirse a las porciones de anclaje asociadas con las partículas de dióxido de titanio y grupos terminales hidrofóbicos para unirse a la resma de la formulación de recubrimiento.
