Abstract
Un motor de combustión interna de encendido por chispa (SI) de cuatro ciclos tiene un proceso de admisión reducido permanente, que permite controlar estrechamente la temperatura y la presión del aire de admisión a los cilindros de combustión, y permite una cámara de combustión muy pequeña para que una relación de compresión mucho mayor y la presión de compresión pre-ignición puedan alcanzarse sin acercarse al umbral de auto-ignición de la mezcla de aire-combustible. Se determina que el umbral máximo del volumen de admisión reducido es el 68% deI volumen del cilindro del motor para conseguir una relación de compresión CR de 22.1 o superior. Debido a que este diseño puede regular y fijar eficazmente la temperatura máxima de la pre-ignición de la mezcla de aire-combustible, puede quemar virtualmente cualquier tipo de combustible líquido de hidrocarburo sin producir detonación. Este motor de cuatro ciclos, debido a su mayor relación de compresión, genera una potencia equivalente o superior a la de un motor estándar de cuatro ciclos en un motor más pequeño y ligero y con una eficiencia mucho mayor;
