Abstract
La presente invención es un proceso mejorado y método para la formación de ciclofanos intermediarios estables. La invención proporciona un método general para la producción de ciclofanos sustituidos y no sustituidos. Los componentes de la invención son un tubo de reacción de pirólisis que se puede calentar eléctricamente en el cual fluye una corriente de óxido nitroso con vapor de xileno en un gas portador inerte opcional a presión atmosférica. El gas de salida se condensa dando por resultado la deposición de [2,2´]paraciclofano. Se describe adicionalmente un proceso y método mediante el cual los intermediarios reactivos de la reacción descrita en lo anterior se pueden depositar directamente y polimerizar a presiones atmosféricas o alrededor de estas.
