Abstract

Una torre de hormigón prefabricado segmentada de pos-tensado tiene una pila de segmentos anulares con secciones transversales uniformes que varían sobre la altura de la torre. La transición entre segmentos de torre se produce en fases y se logra utilizando miembros anulares o segmentos que soportan y anclan tendones de pos-tensado que transfieren cargas que pasan a través de la torre como resultado de un cambio en la geometría de la torre. Los segmentos de torre se moldean a la medida uno contra el otro en la fabricación para crear superficies opuestas de correlación estrecha cuando se coloca en la torre y para crear juntas herméticas. El moldeo a la medida elimina la necesidad de lechada de cemento entre segmentos prefabricados, lo que resulta en un tiempo de formación más rápido de la torre y alta durabilidad de las juntas. Todos los segmentos anulares tienen juntas horizontales y sin juntas verticales. La geometría de la torre simplifica el sistema de encofrado utilizado para prefabricar los segmentos, y los tendones de pos-tensado unen todos los segmentos entre sí y a la cimentación.
