Abstract
La invención es concerniente con un elemento de sellado, preferiblemente un anillo de sellado, que es apto para sellar entre dos secciones de componentes (B1, B2) y para ser comprimido por las dos secciones de componentes (B1, B2) en una hendidura (N) que es provista en una de las dos secciones de componentes (B1, B2) y que tiene una abertura de hendidura (NÖ) y un fondo de hendidura (NG). El elemento de sellado comprende un perfil (P) que, en el estado no comprimido, comprende alturas de perfil diferentes (DH) y por lo menos dos superficies externas (10, 20). El perfil (P) está configurado para ser deformado en el estado comprimido, de tal manera que se extiende con por lo menos una de sus secciones laterales (SA1, SA2) a la abertura de hendidura (NÖ) y mediante esto cierra preferiblemente la abertura de hendidura (NÖ) parcialmente.
