Abstract

El objetivo de la invención es proporcionar una forma alternativa de envolver un producto con cartón a una velocidad mayor y mantener la resistencia al apilamiento. Esto se logra al doblar dos bandas de cartón en la forma de un canal en U en donde los lados de la U forman un ángulo menor a 90 grados. Los lados del cartón de canal en U se abrirán mediante una guía que permitirá que cada pieza de cartón de canal en U se deslicen alrededor de cada extremo del producto sin requerir de pegamento que detenga el canal en U en posición. Al mantener un ángulo menor a 90 grados el cartón de canal en U actúa como una abrazadera de resorte alrededor del producto y mantiene su posición en la banda transportadora mientras que el producto se envuelve en película y la película se encoge con calor.
