Abstract

Se describen lentes intraoculares (IOL) con excelentes características sin reflejo que comprenden al menos un copolímero que comprende: (a) una o más primeras subunidades monoméricas que comprenden un grupo acrilato y/o metacrilato polimerizado, al menos un grupo lateral que comprende (i) una porción ariloxi, y (ii) una porción carbono alifática que liga la porción ariloxi con el grupo acrilato o metacrilato polimerizado, en donde la porción carbono alifática comprende al menos un sustituyente hidroxilo, (b) una o más segundas subunidades monoméricas diferentes de las primeras subunidades monoméricas que comprenden un grupo acrilato y/o metacrilato polimerizado, y comprende al menos un grupo lateral alcoxialquilo, (c) una o más terceras subunidades monoméricas diferentes de las primeras y segundas subunidades monoméricas, las terceras subunidades monoméricas comprenden un grupo acrilato y/o metacrilato polimerizado, y comprenden al menos un grupo lateral de óxido de alquileno, en donde la primera subunidad monomérica está presente en una cantidad mayor en peso que la segunda subunidad monomérica, y las primeras y segundas subunidades monoméricas en conjunto comprenden alrededor de 75 por ciento o más de la composición en peso de subunidades monoméricas.
