Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición para el cuidado de la piel que comprenden cuando menos un exopolisacárido (EPS) que se origina de una estera microbiana, en donde el EPS está en una concentración de aproximadamente 0.001 % p/p a aproximadamente 1.5 % p/p de la composición. De preferencia, el EPS se deriva de microorganismos aislados de esteras microbianas encontradas en la Polinesia Francesa. La composición es útil para reducir y evitar signos de envejecimiento de la piel y daño ambiental mediante alteración del metabolismo de las células de la piel y mejorando la hidratación.
