Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento mejorado para preparar aldehídos ácidos insaturados por la reacción de una mezcla de propileno o isobutileno y oxígeno molecular en la presencia de un catalizador de oxidación en un reactor de lecho fijo que contiene uno o más tubos, caracterizado por comprender usar dos catalizadores en cada tubo o tubos del reactor de lecho fijo, siendo el primer catalizador un catalizador consistente de, principalmente un material inerte de soporte con una superficie exterior y un recubrimiento de material catalítico fuertemente adheridos a la superficie exterior del soporte, y siendo el segundo catalizador un catalizador consistente esencialmente del material catalítico, y disponer los catalizadores en el tubo del reactor de lecho fijo, de tal manera que el primer catalizador haga contacto primero con los reactivos, y el segundo catalizador haga contacto con los reactivos, después de que éstos han hecho contacto con el primer catalizador.
