Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento mejorado para la fabricación de anhídrido maléico por oxidación catalítica de benceno, en presencia de un catalizador constituído por un soporte inerte revestido de una masa catalíticamente activa, caracterizado en que la masa catalíticamente activa contiene 10 a 20 por ciento en peso de trióxido de antimonio, 40 a 70 por ciento en peso de pentóxido de vanadio y 10 a 50 por ciento en peso de otros óxidos minerales y en que el punto caliente del catalizador se mantiene a una temperatura comprendida entre 400 a 450°C y en que se utilizan 10 a 16 moles de oxígeno por mol de benceno.
