Abstract

Un método para convertir un doble enlace de carbono-carbono en un sustrato en un anillo de ciclopropano, método que comprende el paso de tratar el sustrato con un compuesto de N-alquil-N-nitroso, un catalizador de metal de transición y una base acuosa, en donde el compuesto de N-alquil-N-nitroso se forma al hacer reaccionar una alquil-amina con un nitrito de metal alcalino en la presencia de un ácido monobásico o dibásico, o una mezcla de los mismos, y en donde el compuesto de N-alquil-N-nitroso no se destila antes de que se mezcle con el sustrato, el catalizador y la base.
