Abstract
La invención proporciona una herramienta de corte (1) que comprende un recubrimiento (10) sobre un substrato (5), en donde el recubrimiento (10) comprende un primer elemento de capa (20), en donde el primer elemento de capa (20) tiene una composición general comprendiendo el metal o elementos metaloides aluminio, cromo, titanio, y silicio, en donde el primer elemento de capa (20) comprende un número Nlay de capas del primer elemento de capa (21), en donde Nlay es al menos 2, en donde cada una de las capas del primer elemento de capa (21) comprende una capa de nitruro comprendiendo el metal o elementos metaloides aluminio, cromo, titanio y silicio, en donde las Nlay capas del primer elemento de capa (21) comprenden al menos dos tipos diferentes de capas (22, 23), en donde los diferentes tipos de capa (22, 23) al menos difieren en un contenido de silicio, en donde un primer tipo (22) de las capas (22, 23) tiene el contenido de silicio más elevado CSi,H, (en % atómico) con relación a un total del metal y los elementos metaloides, y en donde un segundo tipo (23) de las capas (22, 23) tiene el contenido de silicio más bajo CSi,L (en % atómico), con relación a un total del metal y elementos metaloides, en donde una relación del contenido de silicio más bajo CSi,L al contenido de silicio más alto CSi,H es seleccionado del rango de 0.25=CSi,L/CSi,H=0.9.
