Se proporciona un método de control para un vehículo híbrido, en el cual el sistema de accionamiento está equipado con un motor de combustión interna, un generador configurado para ser accionado por el motor de combustión interna, y una batería configurada para ser cargada con la energía eléctrica generada por el generador. Se establece la energía objetivo generada por el generador y se calcula la salida del motor de combustión interna objetivo que es la salida objetivo del motor de combustión interna de acuerdo con la energía generada objetivo. Se detecta la densidad del aire en el entorno en el cual se desplaza el vehículo. La salida del motor de combustión interna objetivo se corrige con base en la densidad del aire detectada con respecto a la disminución en la densidad del aire, y se hace que la energía generada del generador siga la energía generada objetivo. La ejecución de la corrección por densidad del aire se permite o se detiene dependiendo del estado de operación del sistema de accionamiento.
