Abstract

Un método de descascarado de tubérculos, donde el método comprende las etapas de: a. proveer un dispositivo pelador que define una cavidad rodeada por un mecanismo de descascarado; b. introducir tubérculos a descascarar en la cavidad; c. dirigir radiación electromagnética desde un dispositivo de iluminación hacia la cavidad; d. detectar la radiación electromagnética reflejada hacia la lente de una cámara desde los tubérculos ubicados en la cavidad durante un operación de descascarado por el mecanismo de descascarado; e. operar el dispositivo pelador con base en la radiación electromagnética reflejada, detectada por la cámara. También se da a conocer un aparato para llevar a cabo el método.
