Abstract

Se describe un acero inoxidable austenítico con excelente procesabilidad y características de superficie, y un método de fabricación del acero inoxidable austenítico. El acero inoxidable austenítico incluye, en % en peso, de 0.005% a 0.15% de carbono (C), de 0.1% a 1.0% de silicio (Si), de 0.1% a 2.0% de manganeso (Mn), de 6.0% a 10.5% de níquel (Ni), de 16 % a 20% de cromo (Cr), de 0.005% a 0.2% de nitrógeno (N), el resto de hierro (Fe) y otras impurezas inevitables, en donde un grado de segregación negativa de superficie de Ni definido por la siguiente fórmula (1) está en un rango de 0.6 a 0.9 (CNi-Mín)/(CNi-Prom)......Fórmul a (1), en donde CNi-Mín es una concentración mínima de Ni en la superficie del acero inoxidable austenítico y CNi-Prom es una concentración promedio de Ni en la superficie del acero inoxidable austenítico.
