Abstract

Un proceso de clorinólisis para producir tetracloruro de carbono que comprende proporcionar una zona de cloración a una temperatura de operación de 400 a 600°C con i) cloro, ii) un compuesto clorado de 1 átomo de carbono que comprende de 1 a 3 átomos de cloro y iii) una fuente de carbono/segundo cloro para producir una mezcla de reacción y, después de un tiempo de residencia, extraer una mezcla de productos de la zona de cloración, la mezcla de productos comprende tetracloruro de carbono y opcionalmente percloroetileno, en donde la mezcla de productos comprende un contenido molar más alto de tetracloruro de carbono que de percloroetileno, en caso de estar presente.
