Abstract

En la presente se describen métodos para el aislamiento y purificación de una proteína de neurotoxina botulínica (BoNT), o un polipéptido que comprende un dominio de unión al receptor de BoNT, de una solución. El método comprende poner en contacto la solución que contiene la proteína o polipéptido con una matriz que tiene unida a esta una no hemaglutinina no tóxica (NTNHA) en condiciones apropiadas para la unión, lavar la matriz para de este modo quitar los materiales no unidos, y eluir la proteína o polipéptido con una solución que disocia la proteína unida de la NTNHA. Las condiciones apropiadas para la unión son un pH de menos de 7.5 (por ejemplo, 6). Las condiciones apropiadas para la disociación son un pH mayor que o igual a 7.5 (por ejemplo, 8). Las composiciones específicas a los métodos también se describen.
