Abstract

Se describe un sistema y método para determinar la carga en un sistema de manejo de materiales. El sistema de detección de peso de la carga mide el torque en cuatro condiciones de funcionamiento tanto a velocidad constante como durante la aceleración. El nivel de torque generado por el motor bajo cada una de estas condiciones de funcionamiento se almacena en la unidad del motor. La unidad del motor también recibe una señal correspondiente a la velocidad del motor de elevación. En base al torque medido, así como también al torque esperado sin carga y con carga nominal para la velocidad medida, la unidad del motor entonces determina la carga presente en el polipasto. En algunos sistemas, se requieren dos o más polipastos para que funcionen en tándem para elevar una carga. Cada unidad del motor determina el peso de la carga soportada por su motor de elevación respectivo y determina un peso total de la carga en base a los pesos determinados por cada unidad del motor.
