Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con fibras minerales que tienen una composición química que comprende los siguientes constituyentes, como porcentajes en peso: SiO2 30% a 50% Al2O3 10% a 20% CaO+MgO 20% a 35% Na2O+K2O 1% a 10% caracterizadas porque dichas fibras minerales comprenden un contenido de hierro total, expresado como Fe2O3, de 5% a 15% y una rédox, que corresponde a la proporción de peso entre el contenido de hierro ferroso, expresado como Fe2O3, y el contenido total de hierro, expresado como Fe2O3, de menos de 0.6, preferiblemente de menos de 0.5, más preferentemente de menos de 0.4.
