Abstract

Se describen métodos para aumentar la resistencia hidrolítica de un artículo de vidrio; de acuerdo con una modalidad, el método incluye proporcionar un artículo de vidrio con un valor de titulación hidrolítico de pretratamiento; a continuación, el artículo de vidrio puede ser tratado térmicamente a una temperatura de tratamiento superior a una temperatura de 200°C menor que la temperatura de deformación del artículo de vidrio durante un tiempo de tratamiento mayor o igual a aproximadamente 0.25 horas, de manera que después de tratar térmicamente el artículo de vidrio, el artículo de vidrio tiene un valor de titulación hidrolítico posterior al tratamiento que es menor que el valor de titulación hidrolítico previo al tratamiento.
