Abstract

Se describe un procedimiento continuo a escala industrial para la producción y recuperación de ciclohexanona a partir de fenol e hidrógeno, dicho procedimiento comprendiendo: hidrogenar fenol en un reactor de hidrogenación de fenol; separar ciclohexanona a partir de una corriente de producto hidrogenado en una sección de separación y purificación [II] que comprende por lo menos 4 secciones de destilación; en donde por lo menos parte del calor de reacción producido en la sección de reacción de hidrogenación de fenol [I] se aplica para la producción de vapor; y en donde la relación molar de ciclohexanona a fenol que es cargada a dicho reactor de hidrogenación de fenol es de 0.02 a 0.10; y/o en donde la relación molar de ciclohexanol a fenol que es cargada a dicho reactor de hidrogenación de fenol es de 0.001 a 0.10.
