Una composición de la fórmula (I) Ce1-a-b-cNaMbDcOx en donde M está para uno o más elementos del grupo de metales alcalinos, excepto sodio, N es Bi y/o Sb, D si está presente es seleccionado de uno o más de Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba; Y, La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Er; Fe, Zr, Nb, Al; a es un número dentro del intervalo de 0<a<0.9, b es un número dentro del intervalo de 0<b<0.3, c es un número dentro del intervalo de 0<c<0.2, a más b más c es <1, y x es un número dentro del intervalo de 1.2<x2, y su uso para sistemas de posttratamiento de gas de escape de motores de Diesel, motores de combustión de gasolina, motores de mezcla pobre y centrales eléctricas.
