Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a membranas de microfiltración y ultrafiltración que comprenden un material microporoso. El material microporoso comprende: (a) una matriz de poliolefina presente en una cantidad de al menos 2 por ciento en peso, (b) agente de relleno, de sílice, substancialmente insoluble en agua, en forma de partículas, finamente divido, distribuido a todo lo largo de la matriz, el agente de relleno que constituye de aproximadamente 10 por ciento a aproximadamente 90 por ciento en peso del substrato de material microporoso revestido, (c) al menos 20 por ciento en volumen de una red de poros de interconexión que se comunican a través del material microporoso revestido, y (d) al menos una composición de revestimiento aplicada a por lo menos una superficie de la membrana para ajustar la energía superficial de la membrana.
