Abstract
Un espejo dieléctrico incluye un recubrimiento que tiene capas alternas de índice de refracción alto y bajo. Las capas de índice de refracción alto comprenden óxido de niobio y/u óxido de titanio, y las capas de índice de refracción bajo comprenden óxido de silicio. El recubrimiento del espejo no tiene una capa reflectiva metálica de Al o Ag en ciertas modalidades ejemplares y puede tener una reflexión visible del lado de la película y/o del lado del vidrio de aproximadamente 50-90% (más preferiblemente de aproximadamente 60-80% y mucho más preferiblemente de aproximadamente 65-75%) y una transmisión visible de aproximadamente 10-50% (más preferiblemente de aproximadamente 10-40% o 20-40%) en ciertas modalidades ejemplares. Se especifican los espesores y los espesores relativos de las capas, así como también sus índices refractivos. Se logra una asimetría de la reflectancia entre el lado del substrato y el lado de la película del vidrio.
