Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un substrato revestido que comprende: A) un substrato compuesto electroconductor que comprende un matriz resinosa reforzada con fibras, y B) una capa de revestimiento, curada, depositada electroforéticamente en al menos una porción de una superficie del substrato, en donde la capa de revestimiento curada se deposita de una composición de revestimiento, electrodepositable, curable, que comprende: (1) un componente de resina que contiene una resina catiónica o anionica que contiene hidrógeno activo que comprende un polímero de acrílico, de poliéster, de poliuretano y/o de poliepóxido; y (2) un agente de curación. Adicionalmente, la presente invención se refiere a un proceso para revestir un substrato electroconductor de plástico, el cual comprende depositar de forma electroforética en el substrato la composición de revestimiento, electrodepositable, curable, descrita anteriormente, y calentar el substrato revestido a una temperatura menor de 250°F (121.1°C) durante un tiempo suficiente para curar el revestimiento en el substrato.
