Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con al menos un método para producir al menos un ácido graso y/o un derivado del mismo, de un gas que comprende H2, CO2 y O2, el método comprende los pasos de: (c) proporcionar una bacteria que oxida el hidrógeno modificada genéticamente, en un medio acuoso; y (d) poner en contacto el medio acuoso con un gas que comprende H2, CO2 y O2 en una relación en peso de 20 a 70: 10 a 45: 5 a 35; en donde el ácido graso comprende al menos 5 átomos de carbono y en donde la bacteria que oxida el hidrógeno está modificada genéticamente con relación a las bacterias de tipo silvestre, para incrementar la expresión de la enzima E1 que es capaz de catalizar la conversión de la acetil CoA a acil ACP vía la malonil coA, y de incrementar la expresión de la enzima E2 que es capaz de catalizar la conversión de Acil ACP al ácido graso.
