Abstract

Se divulga un montaje de la cubierta frontal del capó utilizable en un vehículo en el cual el capó posee un borde delantero y un lado inferior adyacente al borde delantero para reducir lesiones del peatón en un episodio de impacto peatón- vehículo. El montaje de la cubierta incluye una cubierta desplegable y una carcasa de la cubierta. La carcasa está ubicada en el lado inferior del capó adyacente al borde delantero. La cubierta es móvil entre una posición replegada y una posición desplegada. La cubierta puede ser totalmente rígida o puede ser parcialmente deformable y puede incluir una parte frontal hueca flexible. Se proporciona un mecanismo para mover la cubierta entre las posiciones replegada y desplegada. El mecanismo se asocia con la carcasa y puede ser accionado por un accionador de resorte, un motor o un accionador neumático.
