Abstract
Se describe un procedimiento para la preparación de cloruro de vinilo mediante desdoblamiento térmico de 1,2-dicloroetano en una instalación de cloruro de vinilo, en el que está prevista una unidad de pirólisis de 1,2-dicloroetano en la que 1,2-dicloroetano de alimentación es desdoblado térmicamente, el gas de desdoblamiento generado en la misma se enfría en una columna de enfriamiento rápido dispuesta a continuación, y en una columna de HCI dispuesta a continuación se separa el cloruro de hidrógeno contenido en el gas de desdoblamiento, estando antepuesta a la instalación de cloruro de vinilo una instalación de 1,2-dicloroetano que presenta una purificación por destilación de 1,2-dicloroetano en la que está prevista al menos una columna de compuestos de alto punto de ebullición para la separación de sustancias que hierven a una temperatura mayor que 1,2-dicloroetano, y en el que la columna de compuestos de alto punto de ebullición se hace funcionar bajo una sobrepresión; el procedimiento se caracteriza porque al menos una parte de los vapores desprendidos de la columna de enfriamiento rápido se utiliza para la obtención de energía térmica que se aprovecha para el caldeo de la columna de HCI.
