Abstract
Un método para fabricar un disco de freno que comprende las etapas operativas: a) proporcionar un freno de disco, que comprende una banda de frenado (2) elaborada de hierro fundido gris o acero y proporcionada con dos superficies de frenado opuestas (2a, 2b), cada una de las cuales define por lo menos parcialmente uno de los dos lados principales del disco; b) depositar un material en forma de partículas en el disco al usar una técnica HVOF (Combustible en Oxígeno de Alta Velocidad) o técnica HVAF (Combustible en Aire de Alta Velocidad) o técnica KM (Metalización Cinética), formando un recubrimiento protector (3) que cubre por lo menos una de las dos superficies de frenado de la banda de frenado. El material en forma de partículas se compone de 70 a 95% en peso de carburo de tungsteno, 5% a 15% en peso de cobalto y 1% a 10% en peso de cromo.
