Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para fabricar un disco de freno, que comprende los siguientes pasos operativos: a) preparar un disco de freno, que comprende una banda de frenado y provisto con dos superficies de frenado mutuamente opuestas, hechas de aluminio, aleación de aluminio, hierro colado gris o acero; b) depositar sobre el disco una capa de carburo de cromo (Cr3C2) y níquel-cromo (NiCr) en forma de materia de partículas formando un revestimiento protector de base (30) que cubre por lo menos una de las dos superficies de frenado de la banda de frenado en contacto directo con ellos; y c) depositar, sobre dicho revestimiento protector de base (30), un material en forma de materia de partículas que consiste de carburo de tungsteno (WC) y cobalto (Co) formando un revestimiento protector de superficie (3) que cubre por lo menos una de las dos superficies de frenado de la banda de frenado; ambos revestimientos protectores se crean con una técnica de HVOF (combustible de oxígeno de alta velocidad), HVAF (combustible de aire de alta velocidad) o KM (metalización cinética).
