Abstract

La invención proporciona un método para la generación y almacenamiento de datos para artículos fabricados en un lote de artículos fabricados que reduce los requerimientos de almacenamiento de datos. El método puede comprender las etapas de: en una línea de producción generar un identificador único para cada artículo, el identificador único para cada artículo, el identificador único comprende detalles de producción y un valor de contador de un contador incremental; en una línea de producción, asociar cada artículo con el correspondiente identificador único o una versión encriptada del identificador único; leer al menos algunos de los identificadores únicos asociados con los artículos en el lote de los artículos para proporcionar una lista de identificadores leídos, en donde al menos algunos de los valores del contado incremental no están en la lista de identificadores leídos, cada intervalo comprende un número de identificadores leídos que tienen detalles de producción y valores comunes del contador secuencial; y almacenar la pluralidad de intervalos de identificadores leídos que tienen detalles comunes de producción como registro único de datos en una base datos electrónica, el registro único de datos comprende los detalles de producción y una indicación de cada uno de los intervalos de valores del contador secuencial.
