Abstract
Los aspectos de la presente invención se refieren a catalizadores de hidrogenación, y a los procesos de hidrogenación utilizando estos catalizadores, que tienen características particulares, en términos de la cantidad y el tipo del componente metálico de hidrogenación (o componente catalítico), así como también del soporte o sustrato. Las composiciones de catalizador, que comprenden tanto un metal noble como un elemento lantánido depositado sobre un sustrato sustancialmente no poroso, proporcionan características de rendimiento ventajosas, incluyendo las características de conversión, selectividad, actividad y estabilidad, tal como son requeridas en la hidrogenación industrial y en aplicaciones de hidrogenación selectiva.
