Abstract

El C y N asimilados influyen en gran medida al crecimiento de la planta y rendimientos de los cultivos. Los intentos previos para alterar el estado del carbono y nitrógeno de las plantas se intentaron con uno o dos genes. La presente invención implica la co-sobreexpresión simultánea de tres genes en donde un gen (PEPCasa) captura eficientemente el CO2 mientras los otros dos codifican las enzimas (Asp AT y GS) implicadas en la asimilación de nitrógeno. El efecto combinado es el potenciado del estado de carbono y el nitrógeno de la planta y la productividad.
