Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para la fabricación de un acero inoxidable ferrítico-austenítico que tiene buena formabilidad, buena soldabilidad y elevada elongación. El acero inoxidable, que contiene la suma de carbono y nitrógeno C+N en el intervalo de 0.17 a 0.295 en por ciento peso y en cuya suma de C+N se compensa un contenido más bajo de carbono para evitar la sensibilidad durante la operación de soldado mediante un contenido aumentado de nitrógeno para mantener la formabilidad, se trata térmicamente de manera que la microestructura del acero inoxidable contenga 45-75% de austenita en la condición tratada con calor, la microestructura restante siendo ferrita, y la temperatura Md30 medida del acero inoxidable se ajusta entre 0 y 50 ºC con el fin de utilizar la plasticidad inducida por transformación (TRIP) para mejorar la formabilidad del acero inoxidable.
