Abstract

Se provee un método para calentar todo un resorte, incluyendo las inmediaciones de los electrodos, mediante un solo proceso de calentamiento eléctrico. Este método tiene un paso de hacer que por lo menos un par de electrodos haga contacto con un resorte, y un paso de calentar eléctricamente el resorte, aplicando un voltaje entre el par de electrodos que hace contacto con el resorte. Cada uno de los electrodos tiene una primera parte 18a que tiene un primer valor de resistencia eléctrica y una segunda parte 20 que tiene un segundo valor de resistencia eléctrica, que es más alto que el primer valor de resistencia eléctrica. La segunda parte 20 puede tener un valor de resistencia eléctrica aproximadamente igual al del resorte que se va a calentar. Cuando se calienta eléctricamente el resorte, la temperatura de la segunda parte se eleva aproximadamente a la misma temperatura que la del resorte, calentando de esa manera las inmediaciones de las secciones del resorte que quedan en contacto con los electrodos.
