Abstract
La presente invención proporciona métodos para la producción de un tejido de caña de azúcar transformado o célula del mismo. Los métodos comprenden: a) inocular un tejido de caña de azúcar o célula del mismo con una suspensión de inoculación de Agrobacterium, el Agrobacterium debe incluir un ácido nucleico de interés, para obtener un tejido de caña de azúcar inoculado con Agrobacterium o célula del mismo; b) realizar un cocultivo de el tejido de caña de azúcar inoculado con Agrobacterium o célula del mismo en una superficie en la ausencia de medios de cocultivo durante un período de tiempo suficiente para reducir el peso original de el tejido de caña de azúcar inoculado con Agrobacterium o célula del mismo; y c) la selección de un tejido de caña de azúcar transformado o célula del mismo que comprenda el ácido nucleico de interés. Los métodos de transformación de la invención suministran una frecuencia de transformación incrementada y recuperación de plantas de caña de azúcar transgénicas.
