Abstract

Se describe un sistema y método para la carga rápida y el manejo de energía de una batería para un medidor. Un componente de cargador es asociado, en forma operativa, con el medidor y es capaz de ejecutar un algoritmo de carga rápida para una batería recargable. El algoritmo incluye monitorear la conexión con una fuente externa de energía e implementar una rutina de carga de una batería en una primera velocidad de carga y posteriormente, en una segunda velocidad de carga. La segunda velocidad de carga es más baja que la primera velocidad de carga. Una elevación de temperatura en la batería recargable, debido a la primera velocidad de carga, tiene un efecto imperceptible de transferencia de calor en la muestra de fluido. El medidor también puede incluir un interruptor de alimentación que controla el flujo de corriente hacia el indicador de nivel de batería. El interruptor de alimentación es abierto cuando el medidor entra en un modo de dormir. El estado de carga de la batería es determinado una vez que el medidor sale del modo de dormir.
