Abstract

Se describe un sistema de Turbina E?lica Mezcladora/Expulsora ("MEWT", por sus siglas en ingl?s), el cual excede rutinariamente las eficiencias de las turbinas e?licas de la t?cnica anterior. En la modalidad preferida, la MEWT de los solicitantes incorpora tecnolog?a avanzada de mezcla de flujos, tecnolog?a de expulsi?n de una sola fase y de m?ltiples fases, aerodin?mica de aeronaves y de propulsi?n y tecnolog?as de disminuci?n de ruido en una manera ?nica para mejorar desde el punto de vista del fluido y din?mico la efectividad y la eficiencia de operaci?n de las turbinas e?licas, de tal forma que su eficiencia de operaci?n exceda rutinariamente el l?mite de Betz. La modalidad de MEWT preferida de los solicitantes comprende: una turbina con forma aerodin?mica con carenado de admisi?n; un anillo de ?labes de estator; un anilllo de aspas giratorias (es decir, un impulsor) en l?nea con los ?labes de estator; y una bomba mezcladora/expulsora para aumentar el volumen de flujo a trav?s de la turbina al tiempo que mezcla r?pidamente el flujo de salida de la turbina de baja energ?a con el flujo e?lico de desv?o de alta energ?a. La MEWT puede producir tres o m?s veces la energ?a de sus contrapartes no carenadas para la misma ?rea frontal, y puede aumentar la productividad de los parques e?licos por un factor de dos o m?s. La misma MEWT es m?s segura y silenciosa, proporcionando opciones de turbina e?lica mejoradas para ?reas pobladas.
