Abstract
Una antena helicoidal cuadrifilar cargada dieléctricamente tiene cuatro elementos helicoidales de un cuarto de vuelta centrados en un eje común. Cada elemento helicoidal está metalizado en la superficie cilíndrica externa de un núcleo dieléctrico sólido y cada uno tiene un extremo de alimentación y un extremo vinculado, los extremos vinculados que están conectados conjuntamente mediante un conductor de vinculación que encierra en un círculo al núcleo. A una frecuencia de operación de la antena los elementos helicoidales y el conductor de vinculación forman conjuntamente dos circuitos conductores cada uno que tiene una longitud eléctrica en la región de (2n-1)/2 veces la longitud de onda donde n es un entero. Tal antena tiende a presentar una impedancia de fuente de por lo menos 5000 ohmios a circuitos de receptor a los cuales está conectada. La invención incluye un ensamble de antena que incluye una antena dieléctrica y un receptor que tiene una etapa de extremo frontal de frecuencia de radio con una salida diferencial acoplada a los extremos de alimentación de los elementos helicoidales.
