Esta invenci?n se refiere por lo general a c?lulas vegetales y/o plantas con rendimiento aumentado en comparaci?n con una c?lula vegetal de tipo silvestre no transformada correspondiente al aumentar o generar una o m?s actividades de polip?ptidos asociados con el fosforibosilpirofosfato (PRPP) intermedio en plantas. En particular, esta invenci?n se refiere a c?lulas vegetales y/o plantas con rendimiento aumentado en comparaci?n con una c?lula vegetal de tipo silvestre no transformada correspondiente al aumentar o generar una o m?s actividades de fosforibosilo pirofosfato sintasa (PRPP sintetasa, PRS). La invenci?n tambi?n trata con m?todos de producir y seleccionar y criar dichas c?lulas vegetales y/o plantas.
