ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN 1. Campo De la Invención La presente invención se refiere en general a dispositivos de tratamiento de tejido y en particular a un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida que tiene capacidades para despejar el bloqueo y de protección de presión de zona dual. 2. Descripción de la Técnica Relacionada Los estudios clínicos y la práctica han demostrado que proporcionar una presión reducida en proximidad a un sitio de tejido aumenta y acelera el crecimiento de tejido nuevo en el sitio de tejido. Se monitorea la presión de la fuente en la fuente de presión reducida, y se determina una presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. Si se presenta un bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido, se limita la presión
diferencial a una primera presión diferencial máxima. Si no se presenta el bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido, se limita la presión diferencial a una segunda presión diferencia máxima. En aún otra modalidad de la presente invención, el sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida incluye un medio para aplicar presión reducida a un sitio de tejido y un medio para monitorear la presión de la fuente en el medio para aplicar presión reducida. El sistema incluye además un medio para determinar una presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. Se proporciona un medio para limitar la presión diferencial a una primera presión diferencial máxima si se presenta el bloqueo entre el sitio de tejido y el medio para aplicar presión reducida. El sistema incluye además un medio para limitar la presión diferencial a una segunda presión diferencial máxima que es mayor que la primera presión diferencial máxima si no se presenta el bloqueo entre el sitio de tejido y el medio para aplicar la presión reducida. Otros objetivos, características y ventajas de la presente invención se volverán aparentes con referencia a los siguientes dibujos y descripción detallada. BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DIBUJOS La Figura 1 ilustra un esquema de un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida que tiene una unidad de
terapia de presión reducida de acuerdo con una modalidad de la presente invención; La Figura 2 representa un diagrama de bloques de la unidad de terapia de presión reducida de la Figura 1; y La Figura 3 ilustra un diagrama de flujo de un método ejemplar para tratar un sitio de tejido de acuerdo con una modalidad de la presente invención. DESCRIPCIÓN DETALLADA DE LA MODALIDAD PREFERIDA En la siguiente descripción detallada de las modalidades preferidas, se hace referencia a los dibujos acompañantes que forman una parte de la misma y en los cuales se muestra a manera de ilustración las modalidades especificas preferidas en las cuales puede practicarse la invención. Estas modalidades se describen en suficiente detalle para permitir a los expertos en la materia practicar la invención, y se entiende que puede utilizarse otras modalidades y que pueden hacerse cambios lógicos estructurales, mecánicos, eléctricos y químicos sin apartarse del espíritu o alcance de la invención. Para evitar detalles innecesarios para permitir a los expertos en la materia practicar la invención, la descripción puede omitir cierta información conocida por los expertos en la materia. Por lo tanto, la siguiente descripción detallada no debe tomarse en un sentido limitante, y el alcance de la presente invención solo se define por las reivindicaciones anexas.
El término "presión reducida" como se utiliza en la presente se refiere en general a una presión menor a la presión ambiente en un sitio de tejido que se somete a tratamiento. En la mayoría de los casos, esta presión reducida será menor a la presión atmosférica en la cual se encuentra el paciente. Aunque pueden utilizarse los términos "vacío" y "presión negativa" para describir la presión aplicada al sitio de tejido, la presión real aplicada al sitio de tejido puede ser significativamente menor que la presión normalmente asociada con un vacío completo. Consistente con esta nomenclatura, un incremento en la presión reducida o presión al vacío se refiere a una reducción relativa de la presión absoluta, mientras que una disminución en la presión reducida o la presión al vacío se refiere a un incremento relativo de la presión absoluta. El término "sitio de tejido" como se utiliza en la presente se refiere a una herida o defecto ubicado sobre o dentro de cualquier tejido, incluyendo pero sin limitarse a tejido óseo, tejido adiposo, tejido muscular, tejido dérmico, tejido vascular, tejido conectivo, cartílago, tendones o ligamentos. El término "sitio de tejido" puede referirse además a las áreas de cualquier tejido que no se encuentran necesariamente heridas o defectuosas, sino más bien son áreas en las cuales se desea agregar o promover el crecimiento de tejido adicional. Por ejemplo puede utilizarse el
tratamiento de tejido de presión reducida en ciertas áreas de tejido para producir tejido adicional que puede recolectarse y transplantarse en otra ubicación de tejido. Refiriéndose a la Figura 1, se proporciona un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 de acuerdo con una modalidad de la presente invención para suministrar una presión reducida a un sitio de tejido 102 de un paciente. El sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 incluye una fuente de presión reducida 104 conectada de manera fluida por un conducto 108 a un recipiente 112. El recipiente 112 se conecta de manera fluida mediante un conducto 116 a un adaptador de colector 120, el cual se encuentra en contacto y comunicación fluida con un colector de distribución 124. El colector de distribución 124 se coloca en contacto con el sitio de tejido 102. Se coloca un paño quirúrgico 128 sobre el colector de distribución 124 y se sella preferentemente al tejido que rodea el perímetro del sitio de tejido 102. El adaptador de colector 120 preferentemente sobresale a través del paño quirúrgico 128 y el paño quirúrgico 128 se sella al adaptador de colector 120. El paño quirúrgico 128 puede hacerse de un material impermeable o semi-permeable para ayudar a mantener la presión reducida en el sitio de tejido 102. El colector de distribución 124 es responsable principalmente de la distribución de presión reducida al
sitio de tejido 102, canalizar los exudados y otros fluidos lejos del sitio de tejido 102, inducir la micro-deformación en el sitio de tejido 102 y soportar el paño quirúrgico 128 para crear un espacio en el cual se mantiene la presión reducida. En la práctica, el colector de distribución 124 es típicamente una espuma de celda abierta tal como una espuma reticulada de poliuretano o alcohol polivinílico . La espuma de celda abierta se dimensiona para adaptarse al sitio de tejido 102, colocarse en contacto con el tejido 102 y después reemplazarse periódicamente con piezas más pequeñas de la espuma a medida que el tejido empieza a crecer y que el sitio de tejido 102 se vuelve más pequeño. Es necesario el reemplazo frecuente de la espuma de celda abierta para minimizar el crecimiento interno del tejido en las celdas de la espuma. A pesar del uso común de las espumas de celda abierta, pueden utilizarse muchos materiales alternativos como colectores de distribución reemplazables, incluyendo gasa y cualquier otro material capaz de proporcionar las características de distribución. De manera similar, pueden utilizarse como el colector de distribución, materiales biocompatibles no reemplazables y dejar entonces que permanezcan en su lugar en el sitio de tejido 102. En la mayoría de los casos, estos materiales biocompatibles servirán como andamios para el nuevo crecimiento de tejido y si es bio-reabsorbible se absorberá por el cuerpo del
paciente durante o después del tratamiento. El sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 incluye además un primer dispositivo de detección 132 en comunicación con el sitio de tejido 102 para medir la presión en el sitio de tejido 102. Un segundo dispositivo de detección 136 se encuentra en comunicación con la fuente de presión reducida 104 para medir la presión de la fuente en la fuente de presión reducida 104. El primero y segundo dispositivos de detección 132, 136 pueden ser detectores de presión o cualquier otro tipo de detectores capaces de determinar la presión de un fluido (i.e., un liquido o un gas). El primero y segundo dispositivos de detección 132, 136 pueden incluir unidades de procesamiento (no ilustradas) para ayudar a recolectar, interpretar, acondicionar o transmitir datos. La conexión física entre los dispositivos de detección 132, 136 y los componentes fluidos del sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 pueden variar dependiendo del tipo de dispositivo de detección 132, 136 que se utilice. De manera similar, puede variar la ubicación física en la cual cada dispositivo de detección 132, 136 se conecta con los componentes fluidos del sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 mientras determine la presión deseada o una aproximación de la misma. El primer dispositivo de detección 132 se ilustra en la Figura 1 conectado físicamente al conducto 116 cerca del adaptador del
colector 120. Aunque esta es una posible configuración, en otra modalidad, el primer dispositivo de detección 132 es un detector de presión y se conecta de manera fluida a través de un lumen de medición del conducto 116 hacia el espacio debajo del paño quirúrgico 128. Al proporcionar múltiples lúmenes en el conducto 116 (al menos uno para el suministro de presión reducida y al menos uno para la medición de la presión del sitio de tejido), el primer dispositivo de detección 132 puede ubicarse de manera remota del sitio de tejido 102. El primer dispositivo de detección 132 puede colocarse en una variedad de ubicaciones mientras se determine la presión del sitio de tejido por el primer dispositivo de detección 132 que substancialmente aproxime la presión a la cual se expone el sitio de tejido 102. Con respecto al segundo dispositivo de detección
136, el segundo dispositivo de detección 136 puede conectarse al conducto 108 (ilustrado en la Figura 1) o al recipiente 112 para determinar la presión de la fuente, la cual corresponde a la presión reducida que se produce por la fuente de presión reducida 104. De manera alternativa, el segundo dispositivo de detección 136 puede colocarse en comunicación con un puerto de salida de la fuente de presión reducida 104 para medir directamente la cantidad de presión al vacio que se produce por la fuente de presión reducida
Refiriéndose aún a la Figura 1, pero también a la Figura 2, la fuente de presión reducida 104 y el recipiente 112 pueden contenerse dentro o instalarse sobre una unidad de terapia de presión reducida 140. La unidad de terapia 140 puede también contener dispositivos de detección primero y segundo 132, 136, asi como una unidad de procesamiento 210 que ejecuta el software 214. La unidad de procesamiento 210 puede configurarse con uno o más procesadores que son del mismo o diferente tipo. Por ejemplo, la unidad de procesamiento 210 puede incluir uno o más procesadores, circuito lógico, componentes análogos o cualquier otro de los electrónicos que permitan que las señales incluyan información, tal como la presión de fluido a recibirse en el sitio de tejido. La unidad de procesamiento 210 puede además estar en comunicación con (i) una memoria 218 para almacenar datos y el código de software, (ii) una unidad de entrada/salida (E/S) 222 para comunicarse con oros dispositivos y sistemas, tal como válvulas o dispositivos de detección de manera inalámbrica, a través de cable, o a través de un dispositivo de entrada de memoria (no mostrados), (iii) una unidad de almacenamiento 226 que puede almacenar uno o más diccionarios de datos 228a-228n (colectivamente 228), tal como una base de datos que tenga uno o más archivos, (iv) una pantalla electrónica 232 que pueda o no ser sensible al tacto, y (v)
una alarma 236 que sea capaz de dar una señal a un usuario de la unidad de terapia de presión reducida 140 utilizando señales de audio, visuales u otras. El software 214 puede configurarse para interconectarse con cada uno de los otros dispositivos (e.g., pantalla electrónica 232) para permitir el manejo y la observación del tratamiento de presión reducida . La unidad de procesamiento 210 se encuentra en comunicación con los dispositivos de detección primero y segundo 132, 136 para controlar la aplicación de presión reducida mediante la fuente de presión reducida 104. En operación, se prescribe una presión objetivo (preferentemente por un doctor u otro personal médico autorizado) para suministrarla al sitio de tejido 102. La presión objetivo es la presión reducida "deseada" a la cual debe exponerse el sitio de tejido 102. La presión deseada del sitio de tejido variará de sitio de tejido a sitio de tejido, pero generalmente se seleccionará en base al tipo de tejido que compone el sitio de tejido, el tipo de lesión o herida (si la hay) , la condición médica del paciente y la preferencia del médico que lo atiende. Después de seleccionar la presión deseada del sitio del tejido, la fuente de presión reducida 104 se opera para lograr la presión deseada del sitio de tejido en la herida. En muchos casos, la fuente de presión reducida 104 necesitará operarse a una presión reducida mayor
(i.e., presión absoluta inferior) que la de la presión deseada del sitio de tejido debido a las pérdidas de presión entre la fuente de presión reducida 104 y el sitio de tejido 102. Además, la presión de descarga de los exudados y otros fluidos dentro de los conductos puede dar como resultado una reducción de la presión al vacio en el sitio de tejido 102. En la Figura 1, la altura H, del recipiente 112 arriba del sitio de tejido 102 determinará la cantidad de presión de descarga impuesta sobre el sito de tejido 102 por el fluido en el conducto 116. Para los exudados y fluidos con una densidad similar al agua, la presión de descarga impuesta por un pie de fluido es casi 25 mm Hg. Algunos fluidos que se extraen del sitio de tejido pueden ser más pesados o más viscosos que el agua, y por lo tanto, tienen un efecto más pronunciado sobre las pérdidas de presión en el sito de tejido 102. Como un ejemplo de las pérdidas potenciales causadas por el peso del fluido en los conductos, una presión objetivo prescrita para un sitio de tejido particular puede ser de -125 mm Hg. Si el recipiente 112 se coloca cuatro pies arriba del sitio del tejido y si el conducto 116 entre el recipiente 112 y el sito del tejido 102 se encuentra completamente lleno de fluido, la presión de descarga impuesta por ese fluido puede ser casi de 100 mm Hg. Este ejemplo particular puede ser muy común si un sitio de tejido
se ubica sobre una extremidad inferior de un paciente tal como un pie y el recipiente 112 se instala cerca o arriba de la cabeza del paciente (e.g., sobre un poste IV cuando el paciente se encuentra en una silla de ruedas) . Si la presión de descarga de fluido en el conducto 116 es de aproximadamente 100 rtim Hg, seria necesario aplicar una presión de la fuente de aproximadamente -225 mm Hg para dar como resultado una presión del sitio de tejido de -125 mm Hg. Otro factor que puede reducir la presión del sitio de tejido (con relación a la presión de la fuente) es un bloqueo del conducto entre el sitio de tejido 102 y la fuente de presión reducida 104. Es importante monitorear el diferencial de presión entre la presión suministrada por la fuente de presión reducida 104 (i.e., la presión de la fuente) y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido 102, debido a la posibilidad de que el diferencial de presión se ocasiona al menos parcialmente por un bloqueo. Si existe un bloqueo, es obviamente importante despejar el bloqueo tan pronto como sea posible. Los bloqueos evitan la aplicación de las presiones objetivo prescritas, lo cual da como resultado los retrasos del tratamiento y cicatrización más lenta. Por otro lado, el intento de despejar un bloqueo mediante aplicación adicional de presión a los conductos, puede ser peligroso si la presión diferencial atraviesa el bloqueo y se vuelve demasiado grande. Cuando se despeja un bloqueo en la
presencia de una presión alta reducida (con relación al sitio del tejido), esta presión alta reducida se comunica casi instantáneamente al sitio del tejido. El inicio rápido de presión adicional reducida en el sitio de tejido, puede causar daño a los tejidos e iniciar un sangrado excesivo. El sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 descrito en la presente proporciona protección contra un daño al sitio de tejido 102 causado por altas presiones negativas mientras proporciona la capacidad de superar altas presiones de descarga bajo condiciones normales (sin bloqueo). El sistema 100 emplea un procedimiento de "zona dual", en el cual se monitorean los diferenciales de presión entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido y después se comparan con una de dos presiones máximas diferenciales dependiendo si se encuentra presente un bloqueo. Más específicamente, si no se cumple la presión deseada del sitio de tejido para el sitio de tejido 102, se incrementará la presión de la fuente en la fuente de presión reducida 104 y se monitoreará por el segundo dispositivo de detección 136. A medida que continúa incrementándose la presión de la fuente, se determina la presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. Puede calcularse la presión diferencial por la unidad de procesamiento 210 después de recibir los datos provenientes del segundo dispositivo de detección 136.
Mientras la presión diferencial no exceda la primera presión máxima diferencial, el sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 intenta alcanzar la presión deseada del sitio de tejido en el sitio de tejido 102. El primer dispositivo de detección 132 continúa monitoreando el sitio de tejido 102 para determinar si la presión en el sitio de tejido 102 alcanza la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. La fuente de presión reducida no deja que se continúe incrementando indefinidamente la presión de la fuente. Más bien, se limita la presión de la fuente en base a la presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. En una operación inicial "segura" o "de zona verde", la presión diferencial no dejará que se exceda una primera presión diferencial máxima. Se ha encontrado que el despeje repentino de un bloqueo puede dar como resultado que se aplique directamente la presión de la fuente al sitio de la herida. Por lo tanto es necesario limitar la presión absoluta de la fuente a un diferencial seguro por arriba de la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. La práctica médica ha demostrado que aproximadamente 50 mm Hg es una cantidad segura de la presión diferencial y en una modalidad, la primera presión diferencial máxima se establece a aproximadamente 50 mm Hg. Más específicamente, para la mayoría de los sitios de tejido, un cambio instantáneo de aproximadamente 50 mm Hg de presión reducida no causará daño
al sitio de tejido. Bajo muchas situaciones de "bloqueo", una presión diferencial de 50 mm Hg o menor es suficiente para despejar el bloqueo. Sin embargo, en el caso de que no se despeje un bloqueo por esta cantidad de presión diferencial, el sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100 no permitirá un incremento adicional en la presión reducida simplemente para despejar el bloqueo. Más bien, la unidad de procesamiento 210 comunica una condición de alarma que indica un bloqueo en la alarma 236 y continúa aplicando presión reducida dentro de los parámetros de la zona verde (i.e., la presión diferencial no excede aproximadamente 50 mm Hg) . Si la presión diferencial alcanza la primera presión diferencial máxima (i.e., aproximadamente 50 mm Hg) y la presión objetivo aún excede la presión del sitio de tejido, entonces se lleva a cabo una prueba de bloqueo. Cuando un cambio en la presión de la fuente, en la fuente de presión reducida 104 no da como resultado un cambio direccionalmente correspondiente en la presión del sitio de tejido, se presenta un bloqueo entre el sitio de tejido 102 y la fuente de presión reducida 104. Si ocurre un cambio direccionalmente correspondiente en el sitio de tejido 102 como se indica por el primer dispositivo de detección 132, entonces no se presenta un bloqueo. Si la prueba de bloqueo determina que no se
presenta un bloqueo, y la presión del sitio de tejido aún no es igual a la presión deseada del sitio de tejido, la presión de la fuente puede incrementarse de manera segura ya que no existe riego de un inicio repentino de presión adicional en el sitio de tejido. En esta operación de "zona verde", la presión diferencial no permitirá que se exceda una segunda presión diferencial máxima. En una modalidad, la segunda presión diferencial máxima es de aproximadamente 100 mm Hg. Los parámetros de operación de la zona roja se proporcionan para situaciones cuando el sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 100, ha confirmado la ausencia de bloqueos entre la fuente de presión reducida 104 y el sitio de tejido 102. Este modo de operación puede ser particularmente útil en situaciones en donde las presiones de descarga de fluido excesivas en el sitio de tejido causan que la presión del sitio de tejido sea mucho menor que la presión deseada del sitio de tejido a pesar de los incrementos repetidos en la presión de la fuente. Aunque se prefiere que la primera presión diferencial máxima sea de 50 mm Hg y la segunda presión diferencial máxima sea de 100 mm Hg, estos valores de presión pueden variar dependiendo del sitio de tejido particular a tratarse y de las consideraciones médicas individuales. Aunque el sistema de protección de presión antes descrito es un sistema de "zona-dual", será aparente que puede emplearse
un sistema de múltiples zonas que tenga más de dos parámetros de presión para proporcionar protecciones adicionales. Refiriéndose a la Figura 3, un método 300 para tratar un sitio de tejido de acuerdo con una modalidad de la presente invención, incluye monitorear la presión de la fuente en una fuente de presión reducida 304, monitorear la presión del sitio de tejido en el sitio de tejido 308 y determinar la presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. Si se presenta un bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido, la presión diferencial se limita a una primera presión diferencial máxima en 316. Si no se presenta un bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido, la presión diferencial se limita a una segunda presión diferencial máxima en 320. Será aparente a partir de lo anterior que se ha proporcionado una invención que tiene ventajas significativas. Aunque la invención se muestra solo en algunas de sus formas, no se limita a estas, sino es susceptible de diversos cambios y modificaciones sin apartarse del espíritu de la misma.
Claims (9)
- REIVINDICACIONES 1. Un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida que comprende : una fuente de presión reducida conectada de manera fluida a un sitio de tejido; un dispositivo de detección en comunicación con la fuente de presión reducida para medir la presión de la fuente en la fuente de presión reducida; y una unidad de procesamiento en comunicación con el dispositivo de detección y configurado para determinar la presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido, estando en comunicación además la unidad de procesamiento con la fuente de presión reducida para regular la presión de la fuente aplicada por la fuente de presión reducida, de tal manera que la presión diferencial no exceda (a) una primera presión diferencial máxima si se presenta un bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido y (b) una segunda presión diferencial máxima si no se presente un bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido.
- 2. El sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, que comprende además: un recipiente conectado de manera fluida entre el sitio de tejido y la fuente de presión reducida; y en donde el dispositivo de detección mide la presión de la fuente en el recipiente para aproximar la presión de salida de la fuente de presión reducida.
- 3. El sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde la segunda presión diferencial máxima es mayor que la primera presión diferencial máxima.
- 4. El sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde la primera presión diferencial máxima es de aproximadamente 50 mm Hg.
- 5. El sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde la primera presión diferencial máxima es de aproximadamente 100 mm Hg.
- 6. El sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde : cuando se presenta un bloqueo, la unidad de procesamiento se configura además para incrementar la presión de la fuente, dentro de los limites de la primera presión diferencial máxima, para despejar el bloqueo.
- 7. sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 6, que comprende además: un dispositivo de alarma en comunicación con la unidad de procesamiento para alertar usuario cuando un bloqueo no es capaz despejarse después de alcanzar la primera presión diferencial máxima. 8 El sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde la unidad de procesamiento se configura además para cambiar la presión de la fuente, dentro de los limites de una de las presiones diferenciales máximas primera y segunda, para causar una presión en el sitio de tejido para alcanzar la presión deseada del sitio de tejido. 9. El sistema de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde la unidad de procesamiento se configura además para verificar la presencia de un bloqueo al cambiar la presión de la fuente y monitorear un cambio en la presión en el sitio de tej ido . 10. Un método para tratar un sitio de tejido que comprende : aplicar la presión reducida a un sitio de tejido con una fuente de presión reducida; monitorear la presión de la fuente en la fuente de presión reducida; determinar la presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tej ido; si se presenta un bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido, limitar la presión diferencial a una primera presión diferencial máxima; y si no se presenta un bloqueo entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido, limita la presión diferencia a una segunda presión diferencial máxima. 11. El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 10, en donde la segunda presión diferencial máxima es mayor que la primera presión diferencial máxima. 12. El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 10, en donde la primera presión diferencial máxima es de aproximadamente 50 mm Hg. 13. El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 10, en donde la segunda presión diferencial máxima es de aproximadamente 100 mm Hg . 14. El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 10, en donde la etapa de determinar la presión diferencial comprende además monitorear la presión diferencial. 15. El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 10, que comprende además: cuando se presenta un bloqueo, incrementar la presión de la fuente, dentro de los limites de la primera presión diferencial máxima, para intentar despejar el bloqueo. 16. El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 10, que comprende además: cuando se presenta un bloqueo, incrementar la presión de la fuente, dentro de los limites de la primera presión diferencial máxima, para intentar despejar el bloqueo; y si no se despeja el bloqueo, generar una alarma para indicar que se encuentra presente un bloqueo . 17. - 9. El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 18, en donde cambiar la presión de la fuente comprende además incrementar la presión de la fuente. 20. Un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida que comprende: un medio para aplicar presión reducida a un sitio de tejido; un medio para monitorear la presión de la fuente en el medio para aplicar presión reducida; un medio para determinar la presión diferencial entre la presión de la fuente y la presión deseada del sitio de tejido; un medio para limitar la presión diferencial a una primera presión diferencial máxima si se presenta un bloqueo entre el sitio de tejido y el medio para aplicar presión reducida; y un medio para limitar la presión diferencial a una segunda presión diferencial máxima que es mayor que la primera presión diferencial máxima si no se presenta el bloqueo entre el sitio de tejido y el medio para aplicar presión reducida.
