Abstract

Un proceso para preparar una emulsión de resina adecuada para usarse en la formación de partículas de pigmento orgánico incluye mezclar en estado fundido una resina que posee grupos ácidos a una temperatura mayor que la temperatura de transición vítrea de la resina, agregar opcionalmente un tensoactivo antes, durante, o después del mezclado en estado fundido la resina, y agregar un agente de neutralización básico y agua a la resina para formar una emulsión. En modalidades, la emulsión de resina así producida puede ser utilizada para formar un pigmento orgánico.
