Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un microorganismo mutante que es seleccionado del grupo que consiste del genero Mannheimia, el genero Actinobacillus y el genero Anaerobiospirillum, que producen ácido succínico y el método para producir ácido homo-succínico, utilizando el mismo, y, más concretamente, a un microorganismo mutante que produce ácido succínico en una alta concentración, mientras que, produce poco o nada de otros ácidos orgánicos en condiciones anaeróbicas, el cual es obtenido por medio de la interrupción del gen que codifica el lactato dehidrogenasa (IdhA), el gen que codifica el fosfato acetiltransferasa (pta), y el gen que codifica el acetato quinasa (ackA), sin alterar el gen que codifica el piruvato formiato liasa (pfl), así como también, el método para producir ácido succínico utilizando el mismo. El microorganismo mutante inventivo tiene la propiedad de tener un alto porcentaje de crecimiento y una alta productividad de ácido succínico, mientras que, produce poco o nada de ácidos orgánicos, en comparación con la anterior cepa que produce ácido succínico para uso industrial.
